Sandstone Quarry City Christmas

Join us for a day full of holiday cheer at the Sandstone Quarry City Christmas, proudly sponsored by the Sandstone History Center and the Sandstone Veterans Memorial. The festivities begin at 10:00 AM at the library community room, where families can take part in a free Gingerbread House workshop. Whether you come alone or bring the whole family, several kits will be available, making it a fun and creative activity for all ages.

Later in the day, the celebration continues on 4th Street by City Hall at 4:15 PM, where everyone is invited to gather around the fire pits and make their own S’mores — all ingredients will be provided. At 5:00 PM, join the community at the Veterans Memorial Garden on Main Street for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and festive singing. Keep an eye out, because Santa Claus will make a grand entrance with an escort from the Sandstone Volunteer Fire Department!

After the tree lighting, from 5:15 to 6:30 PM, children and families can visit and take pictures with Santa at City Hall. Don’t miss this heartwarming community tradition filled with joy, lights, and the spirit of Christmas!
